Data Center Switches
Top-of-rack and spine platforms where switching capacity, forwarding rate and uplink speed decide the design.
When you are specifying a data center switch, the decision usually comes down to matching port speed, throughput and stacking headroom to the role the switch will play in the fabric. Hui Tong supplies original, brand-new data center switches from Juniper for importers, distributors and system integrators building or expanding spine/leaf and top-of-rack deployments.
What This Product Family Covers — and Who Buys It
A data center switch sits at the center of east-west traffic: server-to-server, rack-to-rack and leaf-to-spine. In a typical spine/leaf design, top-of-rack (ToR) leaf switches aggregate server links and uplink to a spine layer, which handles inter-leaf traffic. High port density, low-latency forwarding and predictable stacking or uplink bandwidth matter more here than in an office access closet.
Hui Tong supplies fixed-configuration Juniper switches suited to these roles. Buyers are usually network engineers and procurement teams at system integrators specifying bill-of-materials for a build, distributors stocking fast-moving ToR and aggregation models, and importers sourcing brand-new equipment for resale. Because the switches are original and brand-new — not manufactured by us — they suit projects that require current, unmodified hardware with a clear warranty path.
Listed Data Center Switch Models
The following models are currently listed for supply. Specifications are as stated for each model.
| Model | Key specification | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Juniper QFX5120-48Y-AFO2 | 48-port Layer 3 managed switch; 4 Tbps switching capacity | Layer 3 managed; air-flow variant AFO2 |
| Juniper EX4600-40F-AFO | 40x 10G SFP+, 4x 100G QSFP28 uplinks; 952 Mpps forwarding; 400 Gbps stacking bandwidth; 1U | Detailed specifications on the EX4600-40F-AFO page |
Selection and Sourcing Notes
Both models are Layer 3 capable, so either can serve in leaf or aggregation roles depending on your uplink and stacking requirements. The EX4600-40F-AFO pairs 10G server-facing ports with 100G uplinks in 1U, which fits ToR positions where rack space is tight. The QFX5120-48Y-AFO2 offers 48 ports with 4 Tbps switching capacity for denser or higher-throughput positions. Confirm the air-flow variant and optics plan against your rack layout before ordering.
